YOUNG ARTISTS SUMMER CAMP

GENERAL CONDITIONS
The program will take place from June 28 to August 2, 2025. Participants may enroll for a duration of 1, or 2 weeks, in either the day campus mode (from 9:30 AM to 7:30 PM, Monday to Sunday) or the full campus mode (with accommodation, from Sunday to Sunday).
The program is open to participants in the following age groups:
  • Students aged 8 to 12 can only enroll during the week of 28 June to 5 July.
  • Students aged 12 to 18 can enroll from 5 July to 2 August.

1. REGISTRATION AND PARTICIPANTS

Registration can be completed using the online form "Pre-registration form | Young Artists Summer Camp 2026", which is available on the Reina Sofía School of Music website.
Participants may take part in the program with only one instrument, to be chosen from those offered according to age group and dates: piano, violin, viola, cello, voice, clarinet, saxophone, and flute. They may also register for more than one program in different weeks, choosing different instruments for each. The registration period will run from Monday 10 November 2025 until 28 April 2026. Places are limited per week and per instrument:

Once all places are reserved, a first-come-first-served waiting list will be implemented. The organization reserves the right to modify the number of placer available per instrument.
Faculty assignments are made based on academic and pedagogical criteria to ensure the best possible experience for participants. This decision is final and will not be subject to claims or discussions from families.
2. CAMP PRICES AND FORMATS
Early bird (special rate for early payment) prices will be available until January 12, 2026, with automatic admission within the limit of available places per instrument per week.
From January 13, 2026, applications will be accepted for the Fundación Albéniz Scholarships are granted according to the conditions outline in article 3, with a limited number of scholarships available.

*The Fundación Albéniz Scholarship is subject to allocation by the institution.
On Sundays, check-out or departure will take place at 12:00 p.m., as it is the last day of activities.
All fees include:
  • Classes held at the School from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm or 6:30 pm with a lunch break.
  • A certificate of participation and an academic report with the instrument teacher’s grades, both in digital format.
  • A concert at the Sony Auditorium (with live streaming on YouTube).
  • Excursions and leisure or pool time at the Residence.
  • Internal transportation for excursions and leisure time at the residence via a private route.
  • Morning and afternoon snacks and midday meal.
  • A ratio of 8 children per monitor.
  • An online photo album.
  • A program t-shirt.
The full board campus fee additionally includes:
  • Accommodation with dinner and breakfast.
  • Internal transportation between the Residence and the School via a private route.
  • Group dynamics and evening leisure activities.
  • A ratio of 8 children per monitor.
The fees do not include:
  • Transfers from the station/airport.
  • Instrument rental.
  • Travel insurance.
  • Cancellation insurance.
  • Individual recording in the Sony Auditorium.

3. CONDITIONS FOR SCHOLARSHIP ALLOCATION AND AWARD

Fundación Albéniz Scholarship applications will be made using the online scholarship application form "Fundación Albéniz Scholarship Application Form | Young Artists Summer Camp 2025", the registration is open from 11 January 2026 to 19 April 2026. Applications will be assessed by the entity organising the programme. Scholarships are non-cumulative and applications will not be accepted in cases where the early-bird price has been applied. The number of scholarships available is limited.
Fundación Albéniz Scholarship:
Documentation required in application for the scholarship:
  • A video with a minimum duration of 3 minutes in which the applicant can be seen and heard playing the instrument with which they would like to participate in the programme.
  • A presentation and motivation video stating the reasons why they would like to participate in the programme.
The allocation criteria are as follows:
  • Places available.
  • Artistic potential: this will be assessed using the video and cover letter submitted in the application.
  • Order of registration.
Allocation date: applications will be assessed continuously with monthly resolutions from the Fundación Albéniz commission on the following weeks:
  • Week of 2 February 2026
  • Week of 2 March 2026
  • Week of 30 March 2065
  • Week of 20 April 2026

4. METHOD OF PAYMENT

4.1 General conditions:
Any participant that has completed the pre-registration form will receive registration confirmation from the organisation, including the outcome of the allocation of the Fundación Albéniz Scholarship, if they have applied. Following receipt of this confirmation, the participant must comply with the payment and send proof of payment via email to [email protected] and [email protected].
4.2 Payment Options:
The participant may choose one of the following payment options:
  • Single payment: 100% of the campus fee will be paid at the time of registration.
  • Installment payment:
    • 30% within a maximum of 5 days following the confirmation of registration by the organization. The spot will not be reserved until this first payment is made.
    • The remaining 70% before April 20, 2026.
For the EARLY BIRD rate, 100% must be paid by January 13, 2026. The spot and rate will not be reserved until the payment is completed.
For applications admitted between April 20 and April 30, 2026, the deadline to complete 100% of the tuition payment will be a single payment within 24 hours following the candidate’s acceptance.
4.3 Payment Methods:

5. MANDATORY DOCUMENTATION

Prior to the start of the programmes, all students must have provided the following documentation by uploading the files to the logistics form:
  • All summer camp participants must have travel medical insurance that covers the entirety of their participation in the program. This insurance is mandatory and must be presented before the start of the camp in one of the following formats:
    • A copy of the health card (only for Spanish participants)
    • A copy of the family's existing travel insurance policy (if available)
    • Enrollment in a travel medical insurance policy through the program for an additional fee
  • Digital photograph of ID, Passport, or Family Book (for all participants)
Hard copies of original or photocopied documents are not permitted.
5.1 Virtual Campus
All communication related to participation in the program (including the submission or reception of information concerning personal data, chamber music, welcome pack, and academic report, among others) will be carried out exclusively through the Virtual Campus, accessible at https://musicsummercamp.es/login
Families are responsible for regularly checking the Virtual Campus and meeting all submission and communication deadlines.
Should there be any failure to follow the registration or academic preparation process properly, the organization may apply corrective measures or limitations deemed necessary to ensure the proper development of the program. For instance, if a participant does not prepare the assigned chamber music repertoire, they may lose the right to attend the corresponding classes or rehearsals.

6. CANCELLATION POLICY

Once the first payment has been made, the place will be confirmed and no refunds will be issued, except in the event of proven force majeure, such as, for example, an injury that prevents the participant from playing their instrument, family bereavement, etc.
In the aforementioned cases of proven force majeure, the cancellation policy is as follows:
  • Full refund up to 1 month prior to the start of the programme.
  • Between 30 and 20 days prior to the start of the programme: a loss of 50%, due to processing and cancellation costs, in all cases.
  • Between 20 and 8 days prior to the start of the programme: a loss of 85%, due to cancellation costs.
  • 7 days prior to the start of the programme: the full amount paid will be lost.
If the participant were to drop out for any reason once the programme has started, the amount paid will not be refunded, neither in part nor in full.
In the event of a participant's expulsion during the program, there will be no right to any refund, nor to compensation for unused days.
6.1 Cancellation Insurance
Fundación Albéniz offers the option to purchase optional cancellation insurance. This insurance only applies if purchased at the time of tuition payment. For complete information, please contact [email protected].

7. PROGRAMME CANCELLATION

Fundación Albéniz reserves the right to cancel the programme, issuing a full and immediate refund for the amounts paid via bank transfer to the account specified or credit card.
Fundación Albéniz also reserves the right to substitute the programme personnel at any time by way of prior communication to those involved; it reserves the right to cancel the participation of a student in the event of proven inaccurate personal and/or medical details provided by the participant.

8. SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

It is absolutely necessary that Fundación Albéniz be made aware of any obstacle, no matter how minor, faced by students in terms of participating in any sport or activity scheduled during the programme.
Likewise, health information must be provided for each student, including regarding allergies, chronic illnesses, daily medications, among others.
In order to ensure the safety, well-being, and appropriate care of all participants, Fundación Albéniz will not be able to accept applications from minors who present illnesses or medical conditions that involve:
  • The need for continuous medical or personal supervision 24 hours a day.
  • Frequent or complex administration of medication requiring healthcare personnel.
  • Risks that cannot be safely managed within the camp environment.
The organization will assess each case individually, always with the aim of providing a safe, enriching, and well-adapted experience for all participants.

9. ACTIVITIES

Some of the activities that are undertaken may pose a risk to the participants. Participating in the programme implies the acceptance of these risks. In the event that a child cannot or is not permitted to participate in a specific activity, this should be made known to the organisation prior to the start of the programme.
Otherwise, it will be taken for granted that the parents/guardians give their consent for these activities to be undertaken.

10. MEDICAL MEASURES

In the event of illness or medical intervention, and after consulting with medical staff and notifying the parents, camp staff will take the necessary medical measures to protect the health of the participants. The family, parent/guardian, is responsible for any medical expenses (excluding accidents) that may arise.

11. CONDUCT

In the event of a serious disciplinary violation by the student, a warning will be issued. If the behavior persists, the student will be sent home at the discretion of the School administration. Any expenses incurred for this reason will be the responsibility of the parents or guardians. Expulsion due to disciplinary reasons entails the forfeiture of all amounts paid for any and all services.

This policy and the general terms and conditions may be modified at any time to ensure the proper development of the activity in which the participant is enrolled. Any modification may be sent through the available means provided by the user and/or their legal representative.
